Sheryl Dawson is widely recognized for expertise in talent management and organizational consulting; partnering with public, private and non-profit sectors she facilitates delivery of high quality services and products. To achieve client business and organizational goals she has an intense focus on relationships and strategy which enables her to design, develop, manage and facilitate transformational outcomes in selection, development, succession and career planning. She is a certified Harrison Assessments Solutions Partner.
With more than thirty years as a consultant and entrepreneur, Ms. Dawson established and grew her talent consulting firm through innovation, diversification and resilience to become a established alternative for superior quality and custom solutions. Former partner and president of Career Partners International – Houston/Austin, she sold her interest in 2014. In her early career, she worked in educational, service and financial arenas.
She has led initiatives in talent management including assessing, selecting, developing, and transitioning talent. Ms. Dawson’s facilitation of leading-edge, best-in-practice, results-oriented organizational effectiveness and development programs has enabled her clients to optimize performance and business results. Her innovative talent solutions have contributed to increased engagement and retention, and supported the development both of individual leaders and their organizations. She has consulted with for-profit and not-for- profit organizations including Fortune 100 companies for a wide range of industries.
Ms. Dawson specializes in the implementation of assessment for all talent management applications including selection, leadership and career development, and succession planning. She is certified in several behavioral assessments including Harrison Assessments’ workplace preferences system and Whole Life Profile; as a Solutions Partner for Harrison Assessments’ system, she certifies and consults with clients and coaches in its implementation. She conveys her passion for influencing the quality of life of those she touches daily in her commitment to personal and professional growth including spiritual, emotional, and intellectual.
Ms. Dawson earned an MBA from the University of Houston – Clear Lake with honors. She is co-author of Job Search: The Total System, now in its 4th edition. As author, facilitator and consultant, she shares her expertise on talent, careers and organizational topics in a variety of venues. She is a member of the Advisory Board for UTHealth School of Biomedical Informatics.
