| PRESS RELEASE - June 1, 2005
CPI - Dena White Career Partners International Enters Partnership with
SkillSoft CHAPEL HILL, NC -- Career Partners International (CPI), a global human resources consulting firm, has entered into a reseller agreement with SkillSoft PLC (Nasdaq: SKIL), a leading provider of comprehensive e-learning content and technology products for business and information technology professionals. Through this agreement CPI will offer blended learning opportunities comprised of CPI offerings and SkillSoft content to corporate clients in the United States and Canada, as well as CPIs own staff and more than 2,000 consultants worldwide. CPI is owned and led by 60 of the worlds premier boutique talent management firms. CPIs partner firm in Houston and Austin is Dawson Consulting Group. We are excited about the e-learning opportunities that the SkillSoft partnership brings to our clients, said Sheryl Dawson, CEO of Dawson Consulting Group. Founded in 1987, Career Partners International aids corporations with attracting, retaining, developing and transitioning their talent. While CPI retains the highest consultant-to-participant ratio among global human resources consulting firms, the company has invested heavily in building a state-of-the-art technology platform to support its face-to-face consulting, according to David Hemmer, president and chief operating officer of CPI. We understand that nothing replaces human interaction, Hemmer said, but we also know that people value the ability to learn without having to commute to a classroom, taking extra time from their busy schedules. The SkillSoft partnership allows CPI to offer enhanced services that help executives, managers and employees become more effective at what they do every day, Hemmer added. And they can learn any time from any place with a computer and Internet connection. CPI, which has 175 offices in 45 countries, will add SkillSoft offerings to its North American programs for talent transition, executive coaching, leadership development, assessment, training and other consulting programs. CPI plans to seamlessly integrate SkillSoft into customized programs tailored for individuals or groups of individuals through its Online Career Portal (OCP) and client program tracking software. Through the OCP, program participants - using just one log-in - can take advantage of the latest automated assessment tools, worksheets, simulations, checklists and other features that yield measurable skill improvements for workforces. Participants will also have access to SkillSofts business and IT skills library with more than 4,000 e-learning courseware titles on business, technical, customer-oriented, and interpersonal skills, plus simulations, case study exercises, online mentoring, job aids, and test preparation. In some programs individuals will also have access to more than 5,700 unabridged online books through Books24x7 ReferencewareŽ collections. Sample business skills content includes modules on compliance and certification training, business effectiveness; management and leadership; project effectiveness; sales and customer-facing skills; IT, finance, HR and administration; and business strategy and operations.
