Basic Leadership Skills

In this seminar, participants learn the characteristics and dimensions of effective and successful leaders. They learn basic leadership methodology and how to deal with common challenges facing today's leaders. This session includes leading and communicating change, coaching, motivating and insipiring teams to produce meaningful results, and the importance of matching the leadership approach to the needs of the organization. Communication Skills - Fundamentals

Covers the dynamics of how to effectively communicate with others and to understand what is spoken and unspoken. Topics include listening, perception checking, asking questions and paraphrasing for understanding and better results. Participants learn to communicate and project in a more confident and professional manner. (half to full day*)


Communication Skills - Advanced

This course builds on the Fundamental Communication Skills workshop by providing practice sessions on giving and receiving constructive feedback, setting performance expectations, providing clear and concise work directions and gaining employee commitment and buy-in for projects. (1 day*)


Conducting Effective Meetings

Reviews the fundamentals of effective meetings including agenda preparation, pre and post communication, facilitation and documentation, and other important elements. (half to full day*)


Conducting Performance Appraisals

This seminar covers the fundamentals of conducting employee performance appraisals. Participants learn how to prepare for the performance appraisal, how to conduct the meeting with employees, and how to follow up and monitor performance to produce results needed. This seminar also includes a practice session that helps participants work through the performance appraisal meeting. (half day*)


Creating a Productive Work Environment

In this course, leaders learn the fundamentals of, and process for creating a productive work environment in which employees achieve results with a minimum of stress and burnout. Participants learn to create an atmosphere that enables others to flourish and produce. (half to full day*)


Creative Problem Solving

This session provided participants a framework for assessing situations, identifying problems, and then taking specific actions that result in solved or neutralized problems. Individuals practice responding to a variety of situations that they are likely to encounter in most jobs. (half to full day*)


Customer Service Basics

Through a variety of business cases, participants are introduced to the fundamentals of service in today’s challenging economy. Using this foundation participants then examine their own organization from the customer’s perspective and identify ways in which service experiences can be improved or more effectively managed. (1 to 2 days*)


Developing High Performance Teams

Participants develop a deeper understanding of high performance as a means to become more competitive. Groups then build on this foundation by creating a plan for higher performance and identifying metrics with which individual and team effort can be assessed. (1 to 2 days*)


Documenting Policies & Procedures

In this course participants learn how to develop and write standard operating procedures contributing to better manuals, reference guides, standards, and handbooks; development of documentation such as employee manuals, instruction and security manuals. Participants use a 5-step writing process and 3 editing checklists to help write consistent, coherent, and easy-to-apply policies and procedures. (1 to 2 days*)


Effective Decision Making

Participants are provided with precise tools, techniques, and practices along with the steps that help them master the decision making process. This session covers many of the distortions and decision traps that cloud most people's thinking when making decisions and cause indecisiveness. (half day*)


Effective Delegation

Provides participants with a comprehensive approach to delegating and monitoring a variety of assignments in ways that result in the highest possible level of performance. (half or full day*)


Effective Interviewing

Provides individuals and teams with an understanding of interviewing basics combined with practice of the steps central to interviewing success. (1 day*)


Goal Setting

This half-day session focuses on helping individuals establish specific and measurable goals, work objectives, and supporting action plans that support their overall contributions. In addition to personal goal setting, participants are introduced to a number of steps that help individuals guide others in their own goal setting. (half or full day*)


Group Facilitation

Enables participants to more effectively plan for and execute effective discussions through a brief session focusing on best practices for small and large group facilitation. (half day*)


Influence and Collaboration

Participants complete an assessment indicating preferences for influence and collaboration, and then become familiar with some best practices that contribute to collaboration through more productive influence. (2 days*)


Introduction to Consulting Skills

This session reinforces the need to leverage a proven process for effective consulting applying a variety of models and skills through highly experiential workshops. (1 day*)


Leading Others Through Change

Provides participants with an overview of the organizational change process with a model for effectively managing many dimensions of change including personal, team, and total organization. Additionally, participants receive guidance for best practices during change efforts. (1 day*)


Leading Teams

This session immerses participants in a series of team-oriented experiences based on a model for effective team leadership and management. Participants finish with a solid understanding of the many facets of team management and a personal plan for effectively engaging a team for which they are directly responsible, or for a virtual team. (1 to 1.5 days*)


Managing Diversity

Introduction to diversity as a core element of organizational health and competitiveness. This understanding is coupled with a personal inventory of preferences and perspectives that either support or impede a firm’s commitment to leverage a more diverse workforce. (1 to 2 days*)


Managing Your Success

Supports individual efforts to effectively manage personal development and consequently their success while actively participating in and coordinating their own development sequence. (1 to 1.5 days*)


Managing with Assertiveness
and Confidence

In this session, managers learn the type of mindset, skills and behaviors needed to project a positive and powerful presence that commands respect and credibility. Participants learn to manage using a direct and confident approach using both verbal and nonverbal communication. They also gain an understanding of the impact and benefit of managing assertively and confidently. (half to full day*)


Motivating Employees

Leaders learn the basics of motivating others and how to solve the three major motivational and morale challenges: high turnover, absenteeism and low productivity. This course also features the significant role that goal setting and pursuing and accomplishing goals has on employee motivation and self-esteem. (half to full day*)


Negotiation Skills

Provides individuals and teams with a proven approach to effective negotiating in a variety of situations. Throughout the process, participants practice each step in the process, and receive expert guidance and feedback. (2 days*)


Overcoming People Problems

Participants learn to enhance their relationships by dealing effectively with common interpersonal challenges that are destructive to the organization. Common encounters include complainers, whiners, gossips, and people who continuously engage in destructive conflict. (half to full day*)


Overview of Supervision

Participants are introduced to supervisory best practices followed by a series of experiences that reinforce basic principles resulting in more effective team and supervisor performance. (1 day*)


People Management Skills -
Personality Types

Participants learn to understand and manage others in ways that fit the diverse personalities and needs in the workplace. Participants gain a better understanding of what motivates and inspires various employees and how each personality reacts to change and stress. This course is great for building successful teams. Presentation Skills &
Communicating for Impact

Provides individuals with a foundation for organizing and delivering a variety of presentations resulting in more significant personal impact. (2 days*)


Project Management

Provides the essential skills needed to manage small to mid sized projects successfully. Participants learn to identify the roles, skills and qualities of an effective project manager, understand the stages of a project cycle, as well as, plan, organize and document a project in a logical manner. In addition, participants learn to monitor, control and adjust a project, predict risks, and create appropriate contingency plans. (1 to 2 days*)


Seeking, Providing & Managing Performance Feedback

Provides participants with a process and support tools for effectively managing feedback. These sessions are experiential and can be delivered to multiple organizational levels. (half or full day*)


Successful Planning Techniques

The steps and process of effective planning are covered in this seminar. The focus is on making sure the execution of a plan goes as smoothly as possible and that unanticipated events are minimized and handled efficiently and effectively. Appropriate allocation of resources is covered as well. (half day*)


Time & Priority Management

Participants are exposed to a process that supports identifying and prioritizing tasks in ways that ensure productive outcomes, beyond simple task completion. (half day*)


Written Communication

Participants are introduced to a number of techniques for assessing typical business correspondence and then positioning the communication for best impact. This session focuses on written communication as a means to improved productivity and personal impact. (half to full day*)
