Mr. Wilsmann is an HR Generalist with over 20 years experience
in a variety of assignments in banking and financial services, health care, retail,
manufacturing, and chemical industries for both privately and publicly held corporations.
He has held key Human Resource leadership positions for Mercantile Trust, May Department
Stores Company, Waddell & Reed, Humana Hospitals, Courtaulds plc, and Akzo Nobel.
Mr. Wilsmann has extensive background in designing and implementing
human resource information systems, recruiting and employee relations, and managing an
employee benefits department.
His technical recruiting experience includes: physician recruiting,
hiring key technical managers, and PhD. chemists. Union and labor relations international
responsibilities included the position of chief negotiator for Courtaulds Coating’s North
America manufacturing facilities. He served as the compliance program officer for three
company divisions and advisor to the legal department for Akzo Nobel's North American
operations. He also provided HR project consulting services and management training.
He is a qualified Human Resources “expert witness” in the Texas Federal Court System
and is listed in “Who’s Who in the South and Southwest.”
His training and employee development experience includes creating
and delivering nationwide programs for managers and supervisors leading to the preparation
of individual action plans to develop their careers, as well as creating and delivering
several supervisory training programs to ensure compliance with employment laws and company
policies. His International HR experience included responsibility for over 30 International
Employees seconded to company positions in North America.
Mr. Wilsmann graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia
with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He is a licensed Industrial Engineer.
He earned a Masters of Arts in Business and Human Relations (with honors) from Webster
University. He taught college courses as an Adjunct Professor of Management for the University
of Kentucky, served as President of the Louisville Society for the Advancement of
Management, provided special leadership seminar training for over 10 years for the Kentucky
Society of Professional Engineers, and has been active in area chapters of the Society for
Human Resources Management. He is also past President and “Volunteer of the Year” for the
Houston Chapter of the University of Missouri Alumni Association. He is a member of the
Board of Directors of the Houston Striders Running group and is a volunteer organizer for
the groups annual half marathon. |
