Dana Weber is a Senior Consultant with Dawson Consulting Group,
specializing in the design of quality assurance systems, performance of gap analyses,
internal and supplier auditing, and the facilitation of process improvement initiatives.
She is a 25-year veteran of the oilfield industry, and has experience not only in quality
assurance, but has also held positions in project management, offshore installation, and
technical communications.
Ms. Weber has continually enhanced her approach to quality assurance,
to develop customized variations to the design of quality system components that not only
improve company processes, but also serve to reduce the overhead needed to maintain
systems. Concepts included in Ms. Weber's approach to quality systems include streamlined
documentation of processes, and departmental ownership of process improvements and
performance metrics.
Ms. Weber has worked for such companies as Oceaneering International,
Oil Industry Engineering, Keystone Valve, Calder Testers, Management Services
International, and Koenig Iron Works and has performed consulting assignments for
companies such as H. O. Mohr & Associates, Gripper, Hydrotech, AIB Vincotte, and BP.
She most recently served as the corporate Director of Quality Assurance for Oceaneering
International, Inc.
Ms. Weber's career in quality assurance encompassed all aspects of
quality control and quality assurance systems within oilfield service and manufacturing
companies. Projects in the quality assurance arena include the development of
corporate-wide quality requirements and reporting metrics, design and performance of
divisional management audits, the development of a common system for supplier ratings
within multiple divisions, the implementation of a user-friendly document management
system, and the implementation of an integrated business management system that includes
all areas of a company's business.
Ms. Weber is an ASQ Certified Quality Manager, and an IRCA QMS Auditor.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Quality Assurance & Quality Control from Kennedy
Western University. Ms Weber is a member of the American Society for Quality, the Society
of Professional Women in Petroleum, Women's Energy Network, and the Offshore Energy
Center. Within these organizations, she has served on the Board of Directors for both the
Society of Professional Women in Petroleum (SPWP), and the Offshore Energy Center (OEC),
holding the position of President of SPWP and Chairman of the OEC Society. |
